| | School Orientation Volunteers
Volunteer assistance is needed during school orientations. School orientations are held at the beginning of our parent workshops. Volunteers will assist in obtaining information from parents. We ask parents for information such are their name, address, phone number, child’s name and grade level. Volunteers can also assist in welcoming parents. Orientations take place in the morning (usually 8:30am or 9:00am) or in the evening (usually 6:00pm). Volunteer assistance is needed during school graduations. School graduations take place at the end of our parent workshops. Volunteers will assist in welcoming parents to their graduation. Volunteers can also assist in signing parents in and assisting during the potluck celebration. Graduations take place in the evening (usually 6pm). Volunteer assistance is needed during the Parents As Leaders graduation. This graduation takes place in May at the end of the 32-week parent workshops. Volunteers will assist in setting up for the ceremony, welcome parents from multiple schools to their graduation, check in parents, help with childcare, and assist during the potluck celebration. Volunteer assistance is needed during the annual health and fitness expo, Vive Tu Vida! Get Up! Get Moving! This health and fitness expo takes place once a year during the spring semester on a Saturday. Volunteers will assist in setting up for the event, help with the different booths at the event, welcome families, help clean up, and assist with any other things that may come up. There are two different shifts that people can volunteer for during this event – the morning or afternoon shift. Volunteer assistance is needed during our annual event celebration. This event takes place once a year during the fall semester. Volunteers will assist in checking in guests, at the wine pull or silent auction, and in any other manner that assistance may be needed. | Office Work Volunteers
Volunteer assistance is needed sporadically throughout the year. Volunteers can help by folding papers, stuffing envelopes, and helping us put together any other promotional pieces that may be needed during the year.
