| Parents Advocating for Student Excellence (PASE) is our education initiation that consist of 4 seperate curricula developed and customized to equip parents with the knowledge and skills to better assist their children throughout their academic careers. We have chosen to formulate our curricula around parent engagement because research shows parent involvement directly correlates to academic success for children and ultimately reduces the dropout rate. However, parent engagement does not only affect the child's academics, it changes their lives. The following curricula are available through our PASE program: | | | |  | Parents As Leaders (PAL): This is a 32-week curriculum that was developed for parents of Pre-Kindergarten level children. The curriculum helps parents develop an understanding of the fact that they are the most important teacher, role model, and leader in their child's life. Parents also come away with the knowledge and tools to help their child develop speech and language skills, to ultimately prepare their child for Kindergarten. The PAL classes are currently in the following schools for Fall 2012 & Spring 2013: -
Leonides G. Cigarroa Elementary School -
Stephen C. Foster Elementary School -
David G. Burnett Elementary School -
Julian T. Saldivar Elementary School | |  | Life After High School: This is an 8-week curriculum designed to actively engage parents in their child's transition from high school to a university. This curriculum promotes parental involvement in the child's educational success and helps the parents understand what it means to graduate high school "college ready." The Life After High School classes are currently in the following schools for Fall 2012: - Thomas Jefferson High School, Dallas ISD
- W. W. Samuell High School, Dallas ISD
- Williams Jr. High School, Plano ISD
- North Mesquite High School, Mesquite ISD
- West Mesquite High School, Mesquite ISD
- Nimitz High School, Irving ISD
- MacArthur High School, Irving ISD
| |  | K-12: This is a 9-week curriculum that is designed to teach parents how to navigate the school system and what it means to be actively involved in their child's education. The purpose of the curriculum is to provide parents with the tools to motivate their child to be successful, not only in school but in life. The K-12 classes are currently in the following schools for Fall 2012: -

Eduardo Mata Elementary School, Dallas ISD |  | Leadership: The Leadership Curriculum is an addition to any of the previous curricula. It provides a forum where the new ideas that were introduced to parents during the first curriculum can be put into practice. Topics covered include: Volunteering & Decision Making; Collaborating with the Community; and Empathic Communication.
