Education Volunteer Opportunities

Education Ambassador

  • Assist in obtaining information and welcoming parents.
  • Take pictures of families during PAL/PASE program sessions and graduation ceremonies.
  • Assist in graduation ceremony set-up, welcome and check-in parents, assist during the potluck celebration.
  • Programs take place in the morning (usually 8:30AM or 9:00AM) or in the evening (usually 6:00PM).

STEM Mentor

  • Mentor and guide students in interactive Escalera STEM program activities.
  • Be a guest speaker.
  • Assist students with college and scholarship applications.
  • Provide career mentorship.

In partnership with the National Alliance for Hispanic Health, ¡Vive tu Vida! Get Up! Get Moving!® is the nation's largest Hispanic family physical activity event series with events in 10 cities. The event offers an excellent opportunity for low-income, underinsured and uninsured families to receive free health screenings and essential health education.

Volunteers are needed to assist with event set up, registration, cooking demonstrations, health screenings, booths, and much more. If you or your organization is interested in volunteering, please contact volunteer@theconcilio.org or 214-818- 0481.


Big Dreams Volunteers

  • Our annual event celebration takes place once a year during the fall semester.
  • Volunteers assist in checking in guests, at the wine pull or silent auction, and in any other manner that assistance may be needed.
  • Volunteering for this event allows you to get in for free to the event.
