MEDICARE AND MEDICAID

Visit the Medicare.gov website to enroll in Medicare or Medicaid (English/Spanish). Benefits for individuals already enrolled in SNAP/Medicaid will be
automatically renewed.

SALVATION ARMY OF NORTH TEXAS

Offering financial assistance with rent/mortgages, as well as food assistance. Income verification and other typical requirements for assistance have been
suspended to serve anyone in need. Visit their website for the location nearest you.

THE SPECIAL SUPPLEMENTAL NUTRITION PROGRAM FOR WOMEN, INFANTS AND CHILDREN (WIC)

The WIC Program serves breastfeeding, pregnant and postpartum women, infants, and children up to age 5. Call 214-670-7200 to find an office near
you or visit the website (English/Spanish) to enroll for benefits and find a WIC on Wheels near you.

TEMPORARY ASSISTANCE FOR NEEDY FAMILIES (TANF)

TANF provides cash payments to help families pay for food, clothing, housing, and other essentials. To find out more about this program, visit the Texas

The need for assistance has risen for many people since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. FindHelp.org will help you find food assistance, financial
resources, and other free or reduced-cost programs in your area.

EVICTIONS AND RENTAL ASSISTANCE - DALLAS COUNTY

CARES ACT RENTAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

The application for this program has been closed, but the Dallas City Council passed an ordinance to give renters time to make arrangements for rent
payment because of the loss of wages or medical expenses due to COVID-19. You can access this information and frequently asked questions here.

If you have concerns, volunteer attorneys are available to assist. Send an email to [email protected], and a volunteer lawyer will assist you
free of charge. Include your name, contact and landlord information. Any Dallas Housing Authority client can report loss of income to reduce your portion
of rent. Contact 888-995-4673 for assistance.

DALLAS COUNTY HOUSING PROGRAMS

Dallas County provides a list of resources for individuals in need of assistance after the expiration of CARES Act funding. To access the list of rental

EMERGENCY HOUSING ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (EHAP) CARES ACT

This program provides short-term rental, mortgage and utility assistance to low-income, Dallas County residents living outside the City of Dallas who have
experienced job loss or a reduction in income due to COVID-19. However, the application for this program expires at the end of December 2020. Pre-screening, documentation list and other resources are available here. A driver’s license and another government-issued ID are required, but Social
Security cards are not mandatory.

CARES ACT CRF RENTAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

The application for this program is now closed, but Tarrant County has provided a list of rental and eviction resources for those in need of financial assistance after the CARES Act expires at the end of December 2020. You can access the list here.

MORTGAGE ASSISTANCE

CARES ACT CRF RENTAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

If you are unable to make your house payment, contact your lender immediately. Many lenders are currently offering payment deferrals, fee waivers and/or
other assistance. Get more information to avoid losing your home from the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs website or call their
HOPE for Homeowners Hotline at 1-888-995-HOPE (4673).

Dallas is suspending water disconnections until further notice. If you are having trouble figuring out how to pay your bill, you can pay online or by phone
214-651-1441.

ATMOS

Offers payment plans that will spread out the payment of your balance over time or offer budget billing. Sign into your account and select “Payment
Assistance” or call 888-286-6700 for installment plan assistance

4CHANGE ENERGY

If you are having difficulty paying your bill, you can call 855-784-2426 from Monday through Friday 7AM- 8PM. They have options for alternate payment
plans. Visit the 4Change website for more details.

CONSTELLATION

You can use the live chat option Monday through Friday from 7AM-8PM or Saturday from 8AM-5PM, or call 866-917-8271.

RELIANT

Contact the 24/7 help center about payment extensions and deferred payment plans at 1-866-222-7100.

STREAM ENERGY

Call 888-685-7693 to request a payment extension. You can also ask for a deferred payment plan on their website, along with other financial assistance
options.

TXU

Payment flexibility is available through their 24/7 hotline at 800-242-9113 or live chat with a representative to set up a deferred payment plan. This option
also allows you to spread your remaining balance across the next five months. Visit the website to get started.

STUDENT LOAN DEFERMENT

MEMORANDUM ON CONTINUED STUDENT LOAN PAYMENT RELIEF DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC

The president has issued an executive order extending student loan payment relief. Students have the option to defer payments with no accrual in interest, through December 2020. To view the executive order details, click here.
