As we turn the page to a new chapter, we’re excited to unveil the reimagined mission and vision statements. This update isn’t just about changing words; it reinforces a deep commitment to the families and communities we have served for over four decades.

Much has changed in the world and in the communities we support. While our work has always centered on creating pathways for opportunity and prosperity, it’s essential that our guiding statements continue to reflect both the resilience of the families we serve and the evolving needs of our community. In late 2023, we began the process of renewing these statements through thoughtful collaboration with families, staff, community leaders, and partners, ensuring our mission and vision remain as strong and relevant as ever.

New mission statement: “Our mission is to drive transformative change through research, innovation, and solutions that strengthen families and communities.”

New vision statement: “Our vision is to pioneer pathways where Latinos redefine excellence, achieve economic mobility, and inspire generations to succeed.”

These new statements reflect the ongoing work we’ve been doing and build on the progress we’ve made. But they also look toward the future, where we can make an even bigger impact on the lives of Latinos and the broader community in North Texas.

Why Now? Why Change?

You might be wondering: why update the mission and vision now? After all, we’ve been doing this important work for years. The truth is, the world continues to evolve, and so do the needs of our community. As we launch into a multi-year strategy, it’s more important than ever that the mission and vision guide us toward an even stronger foundation to deepen our impact. We want to make sure that this commitment to educational and economic advancement for Latinos in North Texas stays relevant and responsive in this ever-changing landscape.

It’s also important to acknowledge that each aspect of The Concilio is grounded in collaboration. The process of renewing the statements has been a collective effort, gathering insights from our dedicated team, the families we serve, stakeholders, and community members. We want to ensure that these statements represent both who we are today and where we’re headed as an organization.

Our Resilience, Our Strength

The past few months have been unprecedented. Despite these challenges, we remain stronger than ever, with an unwavering commitment to supporting those we serve. The services and solutions we provide not only address today’s needs but also pave a clear, strong pathway for the future. We stay motivated by the meaningful impact we witness in the lives of the individuals we serve every day.

Looking Ahead

As we look ahead, we’re already hard at work, but there’s so much more to come, and we need your support! Not only standing together, but working together is more important than ever. We encourage our supporters to continue believing in the work we do, as your partnership is essential to driving lasting change. Join us in creating a brighter future for those we serve!
